The Horsey Windpump Restoration Project

Horsey Windpump without its sails

Horsey Windpump was built in 1912 by Dan England and was the last Broadland windpump to be built. Standing on the site of an older Black Mill, Horsey Windpump has withstood flooding, gales and a lightning strike but has succumbed to the ravages of time and is now in need of repair and restoration. In 2016 we will be embarking on an exciting restoration project to replace the cap, sails, internal workings and our ambition is to see this iconic landscape in full working order.
