From 5 April until the end of October, the Windpump’s balcony is open to visitors on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays (weather permitting), when you can enjoy spectacular views over Horsey Mere and the surrounding Norfolk Broads landscape.

Make your way around our Easter trail, with 10 traditional outdoor games to complete along the way - from an egg and spoon race to hook-a-duck. Fun for all the family!
The trail takes place between Saturday 5 to Tuesday 22 April 2025, from 10am to 4pm, with last entry at 3.30pm, so come along and explore the beautiful Norfolk Broads of Horsey Windpump. Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg.
How about competing in an egg and spoon race or seeing how many ducks you can hook? If you love puzzles, try matching the eggs or even creating your own. And that’s just the beginning! With 10 exciting activities to explore around the site, there’s plenty of fun to be had. No need to book, just turn up.
Usual car parking charges apply. Parking at Horsey Windpump is free for National Trust members.
*Suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.

Visit our small apple orchard and see how the apples are growing.
Find a spot to lie down and look up to the sky and see what shapes, trails and colours you can see in the clouds. Can you make up a story about any of the shapes you can see?
Why go home for lunch when you can eat in the wild? Pack a blanket and a picnic, or pop to our café to add to your supplies and enjoy tucking into your sandwiches surrounded by nature.
Sticks are the best. There are so many ways you can have fun with sticks that we can’t begin to list them all here... For starters, you could make a wand, build a home for insects or create some arty patterns!
