Dogs at Hughenden
Hughenden welcomes thousands of visitors with their dogs each year and to ensure that all visitors can enjoy the Hughenden estate, we ask visitors with dogs to abide by our guidelines. These guidelines have been put in place throughout the last year following a consultation with our visitors.
Where can I take my dog?
We love dogs, just not everywhere. Our manor is open to Assistance dogs only and whilst around the property and stableyard areas, please keep your dog on a short lead for the comfort of other visitors. Don't forget to visit the Welcome Kiosk for a doggy treat and some water.
The cafe and shop are both located in the stableyard. Whilst dogs are not allowed inside either, they are allowed in the surrounding courtyard area and in the Grab and Go coffee outlet. Tables with umbrellas are situated in this area and there are dog water bowls and a water tap available as well.
Dogs are welcome to be off lead around the woodland and parkland, but please return them to a lead when walking close to cattle and sheep. Please do not allow your dog to frighten other people or chase wildlife and pay close attention when your dog is on an extendable lead.
As a charity organisation, we do not have the funding required to dispose of extra waste. Please pick up after your dog and take your waste away with you and help to keep Hughenden's countryside clean.
Please do not leave your dog unattended during your visit to Hughenden, especially in our car park where there is limited shade available.
