Christmas and New Year at Kingston Lacy
From wrapped up winter walks around the grounds and a warming nip of sherry in the servants hall, there are a lot of Christmas traditions waiting to be formed this year.
What makes Christmas time so special? It's the family traditions which bring everyone together. Why not start by adding your wish to the colourful paper chain or taking a walk through the illuminated gardens. To visit the house you will need to pre-book a timed ticket in addition to your event ticket.
What's on over Christmas
Christmas in the house
1 December 2017 – 1 January 2018
Monday – Thursday, 11am to 4pm (last entry 3.30pm)
Thursdays 14 and 21, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Boxing Day, 11am to 6.30pm (last entry 6pm)
Christmas is a time for children, family and friends and this year Kingston Lacy house will bring back the memories of Daphne, Viola and Ralph Bankes.
At this busy time of year, we all make lists to prepare for the festivities. Over 100 years ago Daphne, Viola and Ralph’s mother, Henrietta, did just the same. Her lists and letters along with the children’s stories, Christmas card albums and Viola’s memories from ‘A Kingston Lacy Childhood’ have shaped the Christmas you see today.
Entry to the house is by timed entry tickets only which can be booked in advance through our ‘What’s on’ page or by phone on 0344 249 1895. Advance booking of timed entry tickets is strongly advised at this time of year due to the events popularity. Tickets are free for National Trust members, normal admission applies for non National Trust members.
