Eating at Little Moreton Hall

A visitor enjoys a cream tea at Little Moreton Hall

Our tea rooms are an essential stop off on your journey around the Hall, with delicious meals and treats on offer all year round. During the warmer months, cool down with a cold drink or ice cream. If the sun is shining you can enjoy your purchase in the Orchard. Don't miss the kiosk which sells delicious Snugburys ice cream and is located just next to our welcome building. When it's cold, you can warm up with a bowl or soup or tuck into a cake and hot chocolate in the cosy surroundings of Mrs Dales or the Little Tea Room.

The Little Tea-room

Fancy a little bite to eat? Then head to our Little Tea-room, with assisted service, offering a variety of boxed sandwiches, cream cakes, scones and soup. Enjoy your food in either the tea-room or in the garden.

Mrs Dale's Tea-room

Our licensed, waited-service tea-room offers daily hot specials, seasonal soups, freshly made sandwiches, high-teas, delicious cakes and scones and a great children's offer, along with a variety of hot and cold beverages and local wines and beers.

The orchard

Within the moated garden we offer outdoor eating facilities in the orchard as part of our extended tea-room seating. Or why not borrow a picnic blanket if you can't find a seat?

Picnic on the lawn

Brave the weather and bring a picnic with you. Take advantage of the stunning view of the hall from one of our picnic tables. Forgotten your flask? You can always pick up a hot drink in the tearoom.

Treat yourself to an ice cream

Treat yourself to a tub of Snugburys ice cream - available during the warmer months only.

Local suppliers

  • We use seasonal and local award-winning suppliers for our pickles and beer.
  • Our cheese and butter is supplied by a NT tenant farmer.
  • Our meat is reared in the North West region.
  • We use freedom farm eggs.
  • Our local fishmonger supplies us only sustainable fish.

We have our very own small bakery on-site with our lovely bakers always busy making. They bake the scones, cakes and pastries you will find in our tea-rooms.

Grown for you

Our gardener grows vegetables in the gardens that are used in the tea-rooms. So next time you're munching on some lettuce, it could have been grown in our gardens.
