This is a popular walk from Malham village to the magical waterfall at Janet's Foss.

Start point

National Park Centre car park, Malham, Skipton, North Yorkshire , BD23 4DA. Grid ref: SD899627

Step 1

From the car park walk into the village, crossing the beck to the right of Malham Smithy.

Step 2

Turn right and follow the beck away from the village, along a gravel pathway.

Step 3

Turn left at the signpost to Janet's Foss and follow this stone-flagged path, with the beck to your right.

Step 4

Go through the gate and into the woodland. At this point the path becomes more rocky and uneven – please watch your step.

Step 5

From the waterfall, return the way you came.
