Block print a tote bag workshop

Take inspiration from the garden and design your own printing blocks for this unique workshop.

Be Inspired by the colours and flauna of the garden and the Bloomsbury décor inside the house to design and print onto a cotton tote bag.

You will learn how to design and make your own printing blocks using lino and other experimental materials and learn about layering colour and shape to block print onto a fabric tote bag.

In the morning you will have exclusive access to the garden and house studying colour and shape and taking inspiration from the plants, geometric textile designs and the work by Bloomsbury artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant.

Throughout the workshop Deborah will guide you through the whole process of designing and printing on to fabric with the emphasis on a playful approach to making.

The workshop is ideal for beginners and those with more experience.
