Enjoy this circular stroll through Nostell's parkland and its mosaic of interconnecting habitats, including pockets of ancient woodland, traditional grazing pasture and wildflower meadows.

Stage 1
From the house, follow the drive towards the lake. Keep going past the mature trees until you reach the Boathouse.
Stage 2
Follow the path straight on though the woodland until you reach a wooden gate. Go through the gate and continue straight on to the carriageway path.
Stage 3
Continue on the path up the gentle climb to reach Obelisk Lodge, the original gatehouse for the estate.
Stage 4
Turn right and follow the grass track along the perimeter of the meadow until you get to a sharp bend. (Please note: this grass section may not be accessible with a mobility scooter or wheelchair following spells of wet weather). If you've brought your sarnies and flask, you can go through the gate on the left to enjoy the beautiful Hardwick Beck picnic area.
Stage 5
To continue your walk, follow the bend to the right and follow the path until you reach a T-junction. Turn right and continue until you find yourself back at the Boathouse Bridge.
Stage 6
Turn left to go over Boathouse Bridge and continue along the path, until you get back to the house. Head over to the courtyard if you are ready for refreshments. If you are looking for another walk, the Menagerie Garden walk in the gardens is a visitor favourite.
