Enjoy a relaxing Easter day out at Nuffield Place

Close up of some flowers in the gardens at Nuffield Place

Easter is all grown up this year at Nuffield Place, as we step back in time for an afternoon of tea and cake with Lord and Lady Nuffield. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the Easter Egg Hunts, Easter at Nuffield Place will be just for you.

Afternoon Tea with Lord and Lady Nuffield

Easter was a time of tradition for the Nuffields and to celebrate, Lady Nuffield hosted Afternoon Tea for close friends. To reflect this quiet and intimate Easter tradition, the Drawing room will be dressed ready to receive her guests.

Keep an eye out as you walk around the house for traditional Easter cards, offering a glimpse into the past of Easter at Nuffield Place.

Floral displays on a whole new level

Easter is a time of blooming flowers and new life. To welcome this arrival of spring, the House will be brightened with the scents and colours of fresh floral displays, from potted bulbs grown in the garden to beautiful flower arrangements.

Special Volunteer Talks at Nuffield Place

Our volunteers are our resident fountains of knowledge on the history of the Nuffields and their fascinating lives, everything from cars to cocktails.  We think this knowledge is worth sharing, and a handful of our volunteers can’t wait to share these stories with you.

During the Easter period, we will be offering special one-off, volunteer-led talks, offering you a chance to delve a little deeper in to the story of Nuffield Place and its residents.

These talks will take place at various locations around the property, and where numbers are limited, places will be offered on a first come, first serve basis from Visitor Reception.
