Father's Day at Nuffield Place
Father’s Day is a day for celebrating will all the family, and this Sunday 16 June at Nuffield Place we’re putting on a party to celebrate. There’ll be pulled pork, historic cars on display and a brass band playing, so it’s sure to be a day jam-packed full of fun.
A pig and a drink
Why not treat your dad or grandad to lunch this Father’s day? This year our food and beverage team will be serving pulled pork baps for lunch, with ice cream and refreshing drinks all day long.
We've also got plenty of picnic spots on the lawn next to the house, so you could bring your own lunch and enjoy a leisurely family picnic.
Historic car display
As the former home of Morris Motor Company owner William Morris, Nuffield Place is rich in motoring history, and this year we want to celebrate Lord Nuffield as the father of the modern British motoring industry.
Nuffield Place will become home to classic examples of Morris cars for the day, with more then 50 cars joining us including a Bullnose Tractor, a TR4 Bus, a Nuffield Tractor and a selection of Classic cars from Morris’s to Oxford Tourers, which will be on display in front of the house.
There will also be a Spitfire Flypast during the course of the day, subject to weather.
Brass band to entertain
Find a spot near the lawn to soak in the happy sounds of local Roke and Benson Brass band as they serenade your Father's Day. Make sure you've got your refreshments and food ready so you can enjoy. .
