Christmas at Packwood
The nights are drawing in and the frost is sparkling on the ground which can mean only one thing: the festive season is upon us at Packwood House.
This festive season, from 1 December - 1 January, we invite you into the private world of Graham Baron Ash as he celebrates Christmas with his family after returning home from the First World War. Experience a traditional 1918 Christmas with rooms decorated in the style of the era.
Alongside the festivities we will be remembering loved ones lost with our Armistice Day poppy display from Monday 5 November. To commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War, we are installing a sea of poppies in the parlour at Packwood. Around 2,200 poppies have been made by volunteers, staff and the public over the last 4 months and they will be on display until 1 Jan.
Join us for Christmas evening tours and immerse yourself in the history of Packwood and the life of Graham Baron Ash, with a chance to see what goes on in a National Trust property when the doors are closed.
