Join us for a summer of theatre at Packwood this July
This summer Packwood are delighted to welcome Illyria and Boxtree Productions who will be performing in the grounds of this beautiful property.
We're delighted to announce that Illyria will be returning this summer on Saturday 14 July for their brilliant adaptation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s hugely popular operetta, The Pirates of Penzance, a tale of idiotic policemen, posh pirates and a Major General with a ridiculous number of daughters. Full of great tunes and a plot that twists and turns, The Pirates of Penzance is a delightful farce of a classic that is fun for all ages.
With hilarious melodrama, sharp satire and glittering wit, 'The Pirates Of Penzance' is as fresh as if it had been written today. It is packed-full of memorable songs such as 'To be a Pirate King', 'Modern Major General' and 'A Policeman's Lot is Not a Happy One.'

Boxtree Productions are also returning this year on Sat 28 July with their brand new interpretation of the classic children's story Treasure Island. When Jim Hawkins discovers a treasure map amongst the possessions of the late ‘Captain’ Billy Bones, it hurtles him in to a cat and mouse game with dangerous pirates, taking him across the world to ‘Treasure Island’.
With inventive staging, original songs and magical storytelling we invite audiences to enjoy this classic tale of adventure, treasure and, of course rum in Boxtree Production’s unique and energetic way!
