House opening is 11.00am subject to volunteer availability, if there are low volunteer numbers the house may only be accessible via guided tour, timed ticket only (not bookable), last entry will be half hour before closing time stated. Kitchen Garden and Formal Garden: open at 9am. Yew garden is open at 12, via guided tour during winter months. Closed 20 January, 16 November and 24 and 25 Dec.

Cycle parking is located outside the entrance to Visitor Reception.

Dogs on leads are welcome in the car park, public footpaths across the estate, café terrace and barnyard. Assistance dogs only in the house and gardens.

Eight 22.1 kW electric vehicle charging points are available in the main car park. Chargers can be accessed using mobile app, RFID card, or a contactless payment device. Visit our EV charging provider RAW Charging’s website (rawcharging.com/drivers) to download the app in advance of your visit. Chargers are only available to visitors during open hours.

- There are pleasant walks right through the estate, including the Millennium Way from Hockley Heath. The Stratford-Upon-Avon Canal Walk also passes nearby from Hockley Heath. It covers a part of the walk from National Trust Baddesley Clinton, which also includes the Grand Union Canal Walk and Heart of England Way. Plan your car free journey via Good Journey

- There are direct trains to Lapworth, Dorridge and Solihull from: Birmingham city centre (20 mins), Stratford-Upon-Avon (20 mins), Leamington Spa (15 mins), Warwick (15 mins) Stourbridge and Worcester. Dorridge also has trains from London Marylebone. Plan your car free journey via Good Journey

Highlights
House
16th-century Tudor house, lovingly restored at the beginning of the 20th century by Graham Baron Ash, son of a wealthy industrialist.
Garden
Garden includes brightly coloured, ‘mingled style’ herbaceous borders, lakeside walk, famous sculpted yews and an 18th-century gentleman’s kitchen garden.
Parkland
Around 150 acres of parkland, wildflower meadows with 5 different types of native orchids, ancient woodland with bluebells, oak and hornbeam.
Eating
Garden Kitchen Café serving hot and cold food and drinks, sweet treats and ice cream. Trailer open on busy days.
Shopping
Shop filled with gifts, homeware, books and gardening accessories. Seasonal selection of plants for sale in the barnyard.

About Packwood House
The culmination of a lifetime of dreams: salvaged objects and exotic pieces come together in a Jacobean meets Edwardian style. Beautiful, homely, warm and welcoming. We can't put it better than a visitor in the 1920s did: A house to dream of, a garden to dream in.
The house was originally built in the 16th century, yet its interiors were extensively restored between the First and Second World Wars by Graham Baron Ash to create a fascinating 20th-century evocation of domestic Tudor architecture.
Packwood House contains a fine collection of 16th-century textiles and furniture, and the gardens have renowned herbaceous borders and a famous collection of yews.
