NOTICE FOR CAR USERS

Visitors are advised to avoid using their car when visiting Portstewart Strand over the next few weeks. Our rangers have been working hard to make the entrance to the beach car-friendly, however due to heavy rainfall in recent months and the lack of sand, we've realised the issue won't be a quick fix. With less vehicle traffic, nature should allow for more sand to build up and compact. Hopefully this will give us the opportunity to improve the entrance and make the beach easily accessible by car once again. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time, and will provide further updates as the situation improves
