AONB 60th Anniversary Celebrations at Rhossili
We’re throwing a party to celebrate a special anniversary!
60 years ago Gower became the UK’s very first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It was picked for its landscape, its wildlife, its history and its people. And thanks to the protection AONB status provides, Gower is just as special as ever.
Join us for our two day party of eclectic music and theatre on 16 and 17 July, with the dramatic background of Rhossili bay.
There will be rousing brass bands and male voice choirs, interspersed with more chilled folk and jazz, and the oportunity to get up and join the Morris dancers. Throughout the day you can sit back and enjoy the entertainment from Francois the Accordionist.
The grand finale on Sunday, will be a ticketed performance overlooking Worms Head, as JIGAJACK bring us their ever popular “A Journey through Gower”, with songs and poetic prose, which will leave you asking “How lucky are we to spend time in such an outstandingly beautiful place?”
All entertainment over the two days is FREE, with exception of the theatre performance at 2.30pm on Sunday 17th which is £5 for adults, children go free - pay on the day!
