We're looking for a long term volunteer to join our team for 3-5 days a week for a minimum of three months, with scope to extend this to twelve months.
Our new teammate will help with day to day tasks including practical estate management work and face to face engagement with visitors, tenants, partners and local communities. There will be the opportunity to work at a wide range of locations within the North York Moors including Roseberry Topping, Scarth Wood Moor, Bransdale, Bridestones and Farndale.
We can offer a comprehensive training programme covering volunteer management, wildlife identification, habitat management and first aid. Additional training may be available depending on the agreed time commitment, alongside experience in leading events and the chance to work with other National Trust ranger teams.
If you are self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a passion for the outdoor environment and its conservation, willing to work outside in all weathers and able to interact with a wide range of people, this could be the role for you. A ‘have a go’ attitude and the ability to work alone or in a team is important. A reasonable level of fitness will be necessary. Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential .
In return for your time and commitment, we can offer training and travel expenses along with a unique and practical volunteering experience with a friendly team in some amazing places.
