This winter, treat your little ones to a world of adventure at Rowallane Garden. Join in the fun with Percy the Park Keeper and his animal friends and give nature a helping hand. Percy needs you and your family to help out with some winter tasks and activities around the garden. You will get a note from Percy himself and clues to help you along the way until you reach the end where a prize awaits! Follow the map to join in with Percy and his friends, and don’t forget your welly boots as the trail may become mucky with the winter weather.

Follow in the footsteps of entrepid explores at Rowallane Garden

From the Himalayas to the Chilean Uplands you’re in for a big adventure.

Taking families on an imaginary journey around the world the Plant Hunting trail is a fun way to learn all about the plants that fill Rowallane Garrden wand the people who collected them.

Join us as we share with you the story of Sara and Ponya, two intrepid explorers who want to go in search for some of the rarest, biggest and most colourful plants that were collected over the course of more than a century.

Can you find the fascinating fungi making an appearance at Rowallane Garden.

Take a walk around the grounds of Rowallane Garden and you might spy some of the weird and wonderful fungi growing. Most of the time, fungi hide away in the ground, under fallen logs and woodland debris. But once or twice a year they'll grow through and fruit into the peculilar growths hidden about Rowallane Garden.

Our aim was to create an interactive environment that feels like part of the landscape providing a pathway to a deeper connection with nature. We hope it encourages you to look up and around, admire the views, engage with your senses and appreciate being outdoors.
