This Christmas we're feeling enchanted
Brighten up dark winter nights with a stroll around the enchanted illuminated gardens and see the house magically decorated throughout.
Thursday 22 November - Sunday 30th December, everyday 12-8pm*
Bobble hat at the ready, this Christmas the garden will be washed with a glow as some of its most loved areas are lit up with a rainbow of colours and installations. The illuminations in the garden turn on at dusk each evening.
The enchanted house
Some of the rooms within the house have been visited by some of our most loved fairy tales. For the first time at Christmas the grandest room at Saltram the Saloon will be transformed into a magical fairytale with decadently decorated trees and magical interventions to make the house feel enchanted. The house will be open from 12pm each day.
Storytime with Father Christmas
Sat 1 Dec - Mon 3 Dec, Thu 6 Dec- Mon 10 Dec, Thu 13 Dec- Mon 17 Dec, Thu 20 Dec - Sun 23 Dec. Showings at 3, 4, 5 and 6pm lasting approximately 45 mins.
Sit down and join Father Christmas in the stables as he shares magical stories and songs about what some of his fairy tale friends got for Christmas. Includes a keepsake, booking essential adult £4, child £8. Book online here.
Winter Courtyard Café
What makes you feel more festive than settling down to a twilight winter warmer under the stars in the giant tipi? Grab a blanket and a festive treat in the winter courtyard café.
Late night opening

What time is the house open?
The house opens at 12 noon with last entry at 7.15pm. Please check the opening times page for full opening times information.
What time do the illuminations come on in the garden?
The garden illuminations come on at dusk each evening.
Can i bring in my pushchair?
It can get really busy in the house at Christmas so if you'd prefer to enjoy your visit without your pushchair please feel free to pop it into the pushchair parking in stable 12 when you enter the garden.
Can my dog come along too?
Dogs are very welcome in the parkland; however the house and garden where Enchanted Saltram is held is a dog-free area. Dogs are allowed into the Winter Courtyard Cafe under the tipi situated in the stables.
Is the house accessible for wheelchairs?
Due to the historic nature of the house and numerous sets of steps up and down there is a limited route for wheelchair users which goes through 4 of the 7 rooms open at Christmas.
Do members visit for free?
Entry for National Trust members and children under 5 is free. Visit our admissions page for prices for non-members.
