Treasurer’s House stands directly behind York Minster and right above a roman road dating back to 106 AD. The cellars, which are just a few feet above the actual road, were part excavated in the 1950s. During this time, one workman witnessed some ghostly sightings. You can join a tour to explore the Roman history of York below stairs and hear the riveting tale of what Harry Martindale saw on that fateful day.
