One of the highlights of the English summer season is the chance to enjoy outdoor entertainment in the glorious setting of a historic National Trust landscape.

The live entertainment and beautiful setting is provided, so all you need to do is pack a picnic and a blanket and you’ve got all the ingredients for a perfect summer evening.

Professional touring theatre company DOT Productions presents Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility.

The Dashwood sisters have a very different approach to their love lives. Elinor has much more sense, but Marianne has a great deal of sensibility.

Heroes, heartbreak and debonair villains, all topped off with a dashing duel, will have you falling in love with this wonderful Austen novel and leave you wondering, are you an Elinor or a Marianne?

A cast of five actors and DOTS renowned comedic style make this comedy of manners a production not to be missed.

Outdoor theatre: Illyria’s Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves!

Saturday 17 August, 7-9pm

Packed with cliff-hangers, larger-than-life characters and laughs galore, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves! sees Ali Baba stumble across a magical cave when he overhears the words that open it: “Open Sesame!”. Inside the cave he finds untold amounts of gold and jewels. Can he keep the secret from his jealous brother? And when the Robber King comes for the missing treasure, will he and his family survive? There’s plenty to join in with in Illyria's enchanting show.
