Summer in the café at Uppark

Rhubarb compote and buttercream cake

The café at Uppark opens daily from 10am – 5pm serving light lunches and homemade cakes and bakes.

Situated in the East Pavilion, once used as the kitchens to the main house and then later an orangery (greenhouse). With stunning views over the South Downs. Enjoy great food and drinks

We take great pride in our menu, each day producing a variety of homemade cakes, soups, deli rolls and light meals for you to enjoy.

This café is very accessible for families, with seating both indoors and outside.

Breakfast treats

If you're an early bird who likes to catch the worm, then our breakfast offer may be just the ticket. Served every day from 10am - 11.45am, there's tasty treats like the 'Big Breakfast' roll or scrummy toast and marmalade. There's also a selection of freshly brewed coffee and specialty tea to really get the day started.

Locality and seasonality

Using fresh, locally sourced, produce is very important to us. That's why we often use the fruits and vegetables grown in our own garden and from our neighboring property, Hinton Ampner.

To capture and celebrate these ingredients at their best, the menu changes on a regular basis; meaning there'll be something new for you to try on your next visit.

Children's choices

Children can select from our pick 'n' mix packed lunches. There are highchairs available and a microwave to warm bottles and baby food.

Thank you

Every penny spent in our café goes straight back to Uppark to help with vital conservation work. Last year our visitors bought over seven thousand scones and drank eight thousand cups of tea, all helping us look after Uppark for future generations to enjoy.
