Visiting Uppark: What you need to know

You no longer need to book your visit to Uppark in advance. However we recommend reading this article before your visit to get the most out of your time with us.

Parking  

Parking is free at Uppark. We have designated accessibility parking available – please speak to a member of the welcome team and they will be able to direct you. Alternatively, please contact us in advance on 01730825415 for further guidance on parking, or download our accessibility statement under the 'facilities and access' tab on the homepage. Campervans that are used for transport are welcome but are not permitted to stay overnight.

What's open  

The house, gardens, estate, second hand bookshop and toilets are open. Each area of the site has different opening times so please check the 'opening times' tab on our home page. The servants quarters, doll's house and tunnels are currently closed. Our visitor welcome team are happy to talk you through what areas are open during your visit.

Visiting the house  

There's no need to book a ticket to see the house, just join the queue outside the front door. Please check the 'opening times' tabs to find out when the house is open.

Staying safe

In line with government guidance, we're lifting social distancing rules and other COVID restrictions. However, the safety of our visitors and staff remains our top priority. Alongside maintaining our high standards of cleanliness, plexiglass screens will stay in place at all of our till points and hand sanitiser stations will remain. Please be mindful of each other when visiting our properties. If you’re showing any of the symptoms of coronavirus, or if you've been in contact with anyone that has the virus in the last 14 days, please don’t visit.

Use of face coverings

In England, face coverings are voluntary as of 19 July, but we recommend that visitors, staff and volunteers wear them in enclosed, crowded spaces.
