Think Georgian Bath was all powdered wigs and English aristocrats? Think again. Two hundred and fifty years ago, people from across the world came to live, work and visit here. Meet the remarkable individuals who shaped the city we know today and made it their own. From princes to paupers, and servants to celebrities, discover the real lives and hidden histories that reveal the world in Georgian Bath.
During Black History Month you'll be able to visit the exhibition space at Bath Central Library to see the portraits and some objects related to the people that our research has uncovered.
Situated in a multi-use space the exhibition will be open during normal library hours subject to other events taking place - please check the library website for times.
This exhibition is part of the 'Reconnecting the Rooms' project - bringing people together in ways and connecting to the history of Bath. Made possible with thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
