Summer of Play at Tyntesfield
Get ready to travel the glove - no passport needed

This summer at Tyntesfield, we’re inviting families to travel Around the World in 80 Plays - a playful journey across continents, packed with fun, movement, and imagination for all ages.
Over six exciting weeks, we’ll explore a different part of the world every two weeks:
Weeks 1–2: Europe & Africa
Weeks 3–4: Asia & Oceania
Weeks 5–6: The Americas – with a little touch of Antarctica too!
You’ll step into a vibrant, themed play space filled with colourful bunting, vintage travel props, and even hot air balloons. Kids (and grown-ups) can dive into giant games like The Floor is Lava, limbo, jumbo chess, Jenga, and more.
We’ve created three interactive tents for you to discover:
- The Play Tent – Try out traditional games from each region, complete with labels showing where they come from.
- The Music Tent – Pick up instruments from around the world and join our weekly music-making sessions.
- The Story Tent – Sit back and relax with global tales, or take part in our interactive storytime adventures each week.
That’s not all! You’ll also find:
- Themed photo spots perfect for travel snaps
- A global tree trail with spotter sheets for curious explorers
- Travel-inspired decorations throughout the estate.
We can’t wait to welcome you to a summer filled with wonder and play.
Summer of Play is sponsored by Starling Bank and supported by Sport England.
