Discover Earth Photo 2026, the powerful exhibition on show in Tyntesfield’s orchard this autumn.
Now in its eighth year, Earth Photo is an international photography and film open call from the Royal Geographical Society, Parker Harris and Photoworks.
Selected from 1,400 submissions, the 33 images featured in the exhibition speak to the defining environmental and political stories of our time.
After you’ve seen the exhibition, visit our special installation in the Kitchen Garden, which connects the stories featured in Earth Photo with Tyntesfield’s own history.
You can learn all about the environmental and social impact of the Peruvian guano trade (seabird droppings used as fertiliser), from which Tyntesfield’s Victorian Gibbs family built their wealth. Plus, add your own pledge to nature to our visitor board.

The exhibition is located in the orchard, roughly a 25 minute walk from the welcome building. There are undulating, gravel paths across the estate; however, a mobility shuttle service is available.
- Suitability for children
Children are very welcome when accompanied by an adult.
- What to bring and wear
As the exhibition takes place outdoors, we recommend wearing weather appropriate clothing and shoes.
- Other
