Remembrance Knitted Poppy Display
Take a moment to remember. Our Memorial Garden will be filled with knitted poppies this autumn, honouring those connected with the Mander factory who gave their lives.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
This autumn, visit the Memorial Garden at Wightwick Manor and Gardens and take a moment to remember those who served and lost their lives during the First and Second World Wars.
Our much-loved display of hand-knitted poppies will return to the garden, surrounding the war memorials which commemorate those who fell and who were connected with the Mander factory and their families.
For 2026, the display will feature a new soldier cut-out, standing amongst the sea of knitted poppies as a poignant reminder of those who served.
Short remembrance services will take place beside the war memorials on:
Sunday 8 November 2026 at 10:45am
Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 10:45am
Both services will include a two-minute silence at 11am, providing an opportunity for visitors to pause and remember together.
The knitted poppy display will remain in place from 20 October to 16 November, allowing visitors throughout this period to reflect and pay their respects.
We will remember them.
