Folklore craft workshop
A free drop-in workshop exploring the folklore of water through drawing and writing games.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
In response to the work of the National Trust to re-wild rivers and ponds, artist Emily Simpson is creating a new mythological creature to protect these wetlands. Inspired by British folklore such as water sprites, mermaid pools, kelpies, Jenny Greenteeth and more, we’ll be thinking about how folklore can animate a landscape and perhaps help to conserve it in our imaginations.
The workshop will involve drawing and writing activities, suitable for all ages. This is a relaxed environment, so please stay for as little or long as you like.
All materials provided, no need to pre-book. This activity is free and normal admission applies.
