Wet Felting Workshop: Bowl or Plant Pot Cover

A creative wet felting workshop with renowed fibre artist, Vicky Pulman.

  • Booking essential

This relaxed, hands-on workshop explores wet felting on a ball, a unique and fun method used to create strong, seamless 3D forms. Working with warm soapy water and wool fibres, you’ll shape and felt your piece around a resist to form either a plant pot cover or, if you prefer, a felted bowl.

The session is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some felting experience. You will be guided step by step through the process, while exploring colour, surface texture and fibre combinations. Once constructed we will then bounce the balls on the table - a light-hearted method of felting and excellent work out!

Why attend • Learn a versatile 3D wet felting technique • Understand shrinkage, shaping and structure • Take time to work at an unhurried pace • Create a finished, functional felted piece • Gain confidence to repeat the process at home

What’s included • All wool fibres and materials • Use of a wide range of decorative fibres for surface detail • Step-by-step guidance throughout the session • A finished wet felted plant pot cover or bowl to take home

No previous experience is required, and all materials are provided. Just bring yourself and a willingness to get your hands wet.
