Sports Day Scarecrow Festival

Ready… set… GO!! The Tatton Scarecrow Sports Day kicks off this February half-term 2026!

Let’s get physical at the gardens and farm this February half-term with a team of sporty scarecrows. There’ll be rowing and throwing, curling and serving, kickflips, backflips, high kicks, and wickets. So get your shin pads on, tighten your black belt, and step up to the plate at Tatton’s annual scarecrow festival! Also, enjoy stories about life down on the farm with Aunty Mary and the Miller at weekends.

Please note the event is on for two weeks in the gardens and for one week at the farm: Gardens: Saturday 14 February - Sunday 1 March, closed on Monday 16 & Monday 23 February Farm: Saturday 14 - Sunday 22 February, closed on Monday 16 February

Meeting point

Visit the Scarecrow Festival, head to the garden and farm entrance points, just a short walk from the main car park.

What to bring and wear

This is an outdoor event, please wrap up warm and be prepared for wet weather and puddle jumping!

Accessibility

Accessible and pram friendly paths around the gardens. Motorised mobility scooters are available to hire from the garden entrance. Please note there are uneven surfaces and cobbles at the Farm, and in the Stableyard and gardens.

Other

National Trust members enjoy free entry to the gardens. Farm and parkland entry applies to all (including National Trust members)
