Solar eclipse with Kernow Astronomers
The experts from Kernow Astronomers are returning to Carnewas at Bedruthan. Everyone is welcome - whether you are a keen astronomer or simply curious to know and see more.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Members of Kernow Astronomers will have telescopes fitted with filters to enable you to observe the solar eclipse safely. It will be possible to see the photosphere of the sun (or sun’s surface) with its sunspots, and the changes as the partial eclipse takes place. There’ll also be hydrogen alpha telescopes which allow you to see the cooler hydrogen clouds - think weather on the sun. There will be a limited supply of suitable eclipse glasses at the event. This Kernow Astronomers event is hosted by the National Trust. Please check for weather updates nearer the time.
