Summer of Play at Lanhydrock

Get outdoors this summer and enjoy unforgettable family adventures set against the backdrop of Lanhydrock’s historic house, garden and parkland.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

The garden will be transformed into a family play hub, with activities designed to spark creativity, imagination and exploration. Have a go at active games such as badminton and soft archery on selected days, build and create through loose parts play, get crafty in the Thatched Cottage, dress up and perform in the Victorian Nursery, or discover the natural world through nature-based play and storytelling.

There will also be a programme of special activities throughout the summer, including nature discovery days with Imagine Outdoors, themed crafts, opportunities to meet working machines on Fridays in August, and chances to meet Victorian staff around the house and garden.

Bring a picnic, relax on the formal lawns and enjoy a summer of play, discovery and adventure.

Activities vary throughout the season. Please check the website before your visit and follow our social media channels for the latest updates and event information.
