Lizard Point archaeology talk

Discover the fascinating story behind a remarkable archaeological find at Lizard Point. It began when seven-year-old Arthur uncovered human teeth while exploring the coastline which has led to the discovery of a probable early 18th-century mass burial site, believed to contain the remains of shipwreck victims. Archaeologists have uncovered a number of individuals buried there, possibly linked to the tragic wreck of the Royal Anne Galley in 1721. This talk will explore the discovery, the ongoing excavations and how the project is shedding new light on Cornwall’s rich maritime history. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
