This festive season, experience Christmas at Trerice where you will find storytelling with Father Christmas, the house and barn dressed in traditional decorations, wreath making workshops, and festive performances from a selection of choirs.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit from our old friend Father Christmas with his familiar white beard and robes of red. Visit the North Chamber to hear tales and traditions of Christmas past with 30 minute sessions throughout the day. All children will go home with a gift.
Father Christmas will be at Trerice on Saturday & Sunday 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 and then daily between Monday 18 - Saturday 23 December.
Booking in advance for Father Christmas is essential, tickets are £3.50 per adult and £4.50 per child and available from the Trerice website, please note that normal admission still applies.
Come in from the cold through a willow archway and warm yourself by the fire. Embrace the festive spirit in the lower floor of the house which will be decorated for Christmas from Saturday 2 December.
This year, the upper floor of the house will be closed whilst the conservation team take this time of year to put the house to bed. The North Chamber will be the only room open on the upper floor, but will only be accessible for those with tickets to see Father Christmas.
Learn how to make a traditional Christmas wreath, with dried orange, cinnamon, pine cones and more, to take home and hang on your door. Workshops are taking place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November at 11am and 2pm in the hayloft. Tickets are available here.
Get into the festive spirit with Christmas carols from the Trerice Volunteer Choir who will be performing seasonal favourites throughout December. We are also hosting various other choirs this year in the barn - click here for dates and times.
Head to the Trerice barn café for hot drinks, yummy bakes, festive treats and light lunches this winter. The shop has plenty of gifts on offer as well as a range of Christmas decorations and treats. There is also a variety of National Trust designed accessories and blankets to chase the chill away.
It is through your purchases that we are able to continue to look after Trerice for everyone, for ever.
