A guide to A la Ronde's Accessible Video Trail

This page is to tell you how to use the Accessible Video Trail whilst you are visiting us.  There are five videos in British Sign Language, with captions and a voiceover. They are between 3-7 minutes long. Please look out for the QR code signs on site. You will find the first one in the Courtyard by the main door. 

You can use the camera on your smartphone to scan the QR codes, clicking on the QR code link will take you to each video.

Here is what you will discover, and where you can find them:

  • Welcome and Introduction- in the Courtyard
  • The Women of A la Ronde- in the Library
  • Look up. The Octagon and Shell Gallery- in the Octagon
  • The Fashionable Feather Freize- in the Drawing Room
  • The Estate and its Legacy - by the Lower Ground Floor door

Accessible Videos - Sharing A la Ronde's Stories 

Each of the five videos shares a different part of A la Ronde’s story, from an introduction to the house and grounds, to the inspiring stories of the people who called A la Ronde their home. We also share the recent conservation discoveries and place the house in its changing landscape.
