Waggy Walks

Join us for a sociable dog walk in the Teign Gorge and wider Castle Drogo Estate.

  • Booking advisable
  • Free event

Join Nathan from the National Trust Dogs on Dartmoor project for a sociable dog walk in the Teign Valley. Meet our 'special guest' and find out more about the area and get to know new people while your dog enjoys the sights and sniffs. There will be time for off lead play, but there will be times that a lead is required so please bring one along with you.

These walks are not for the feint hearted and terrain can be challenging. You can expect rocky, uneven footpaths and steep inclines.

There are two walks starting at different places: 16th May: Fingle Bridge Car Park 19th June: Steps Bridge Car Park

Maximum of two dogs per person.

Come prepared for variable weather! Wear plenty of layers, waterproofs, and good sturdy boots. Paths are slippery, steep or muddy in places. You may like to bring water or a snack.

The walk is in rugged woodland. The terrain can be challenging in places with steep inclines and loose stone paths which can be close to the river.
