Heritage Open Days: Columbjohn Chapel

Columbjohn Chapel is a hidden gem on the Killerton estate and is open as part of Heritage Open Days.

Nestled in the tranquil Killerton parkland, Columbjohn Chapel is a hidden gem on the estate. As part of Heritage Open Days, the Chapel will be open daily from Friday 12 September to Sunday 21 September. 1pm to 3pm. Entry is for free for all visitors.

Head to Visitor Reception at the Killerton main site to pick up the free access route to the chapel. If you would like to explore the surrounding area and parkland after visiting the chapel, normal admission fees will then apply.

Suitability

Children are welcome and must be supervised at all times.

Meeting point

Parking in the main Killerton Visitor car park. Head to Killerton Visitor Reception to pick up a map showing the self-led walking path to the chapel.

What to bring and wear

The chapel is unheated and accessed via parkland. Please wear suitable shoes and dress for the weather.

Accessibility

The chapel is located in parkland and has no nearby parking available. The route to the chapel includes uneven ground, fields and gates. There are no facilities at the chapel.

Other

The chapel is normally not open to the public but is open during this time as part of Heritage Open Days. There is no parking available at the chapel. Please park in the Killerton main site car park and head to Visitor Reception to pick up a map showing the free self-led walking path to the chapel. If you would like to access the rest of the estate, normal admission fees apply. Assistance dogs only inside the chapel.
