As part of the North Devon walking festival, join the walking team on a two-hour guided walk around the Doone Valley and surrounding Exmoor Landscape.
This scenic walk showcases some of the area’s most breathtaking views, with sweeping valleys, rolling moorland and the rich, varied terrain that makes Exmoor so special.
Keep your eyes peeled along the way - you may spot Exmoor ponies, grazing red deer and a some of the wonderful local birdlife. The valley is also home to a beautiful array of different wildflower and ancient trees, plenty to spot along the route.

- Suitability
Suitable for children over the age of 10. All children need to be supervised.
- Meeting point
Please meet at the Welcome Hut located in the main carpark.(EX35 6NU)
- What to bring and wear
Please wearing clothing that is suitable for the weather and appropriate footwear. Bring any medication such as inhalers and EpiPens as some parts of the walk are difficult to access in an emergency.
- Accessibility
There are accessible parking spaces available. The walks will cover sections that are uneven and steep in places. The walks are not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users.
