Heritage open days at Lydford Gorge

Come for a walk at the gorge for free once more as part of the Heritage Open Days.

Hike down into the ravine for the Devil's Cauldron with its platform over the river in the deepest part of the gorge. Plus, head down to see the towering Whitelady Waterfall on a lovely walk through ancient woodland.

The Lyd Link path which connects the Devil's Cauldron and Waterfall trails will also be open. It's 1.25 miles and takes around 45 minutes one way with several long flights of steps and some narrow paths.

Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September, between 10am and 4.30pm. Free entry.

What to bring and wear

We recommend sturdy footwear with good grip for walking the trails.

Accessibility

Steep slopes and narrow paths. Slippery and uneven path surfaces. Step free but steep route to Whitelady Waterfall. Step free route to bird hide.

Other

Dogs are welcome, please keep them on a short lead at all times, and out of the river.
