Sense and Sensibility 30th anniversary
This summer, the National Trust’s Saltram in Plymouth will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sense and Sensibility, inviting visitors to step into the setting of one of the most beloved period dramas of all time.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
This summer marks 30 years since the release of the beloved 1995 film Sense and Sensibility, starring Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet, Alan Rickman and Hugh Grant – and filmed right here at Saltram.
From June to August, join us as we celebrate Saltram’s starring role as Norland Park with anniversary moments and a special spotlight display inside the house. Walk in the footsteps of the Dashwood family through rooms and garden locations featured in the film – from the showstopping Saloon to the Lime Avenue oak where Margaret Dashwood’s treehouse once stood.
Whether you’re a devoted Austen fan or simply curious about Saltram’s Hollywood past, this is a perfect excuse to revisit a classic. Bring a picnic, soak up the views, and fall in love with Saltram all over again.
