Head to Saltram for a Summer packed with experiences and activities designed to spark imagination and inspire a maritime adventure. Whether you’re navigating the treacherous seas, creating your very own flag or stepping into the spotlight for a playful moment of performance, there’s something for every kind of explorer. They’ll be activities going on each day over the summer so keep an eye out for Saltram’s planner to fill your summer with play.
What play activities will there be?
Build your own ship
In the loose parts zone, anything goes. Children can design and build their own creations using giant blocks and natural materials in an area designed for imaginative, free play.
Take five in the quiet zone
Relax under the tent in Saltram’s chill-out zone – complete with books, bean bags and puzzles. The perfect place to recharge or dive into a good story.
Wild Wednesdays return
Nature lovers, rejoice! Our popular Wild Wednesdays are back on selected dates, offering pre-bookable sessions packed with outdoor adventure, hands-on nature activities and even more ways to explore Saltram.
Drop-in fun for the whole family
Every day offers a chance to get stuck in together. From outdoor sports games and family crafting, to storytelling journeys through the garden there’ll be plenty of drop-in sessions to keep everyone entertained.
Whether you want to dress up, play it cool in the shade or get hands-on with nature, Summer of Play at Saltram promises to be an unmissable highlight of the summer holidays.
When is Summer of Play at Saltram?
Summer of Play begins on Saturday, 18th July and ends on Sunday, 6th September.
How much does it cost?
This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
