Green fingers at the ready! Join us in the Kitchen Garden to plant your own vegetable seeds to take home and grow.

Green fingers at the ready! Decorate your eco pot and choose a summer seed to plant and take home with you. Each session will have a different vegetable seed available to plant.

If we are exceptionally busy, we may ask you to pop back later in the day.

All sessions are free, donations welcome.

Normal admission charges applies. National Trust members will need to show their membership cards at Visitor Reception and non-members will need to pay the admission price (from £23 per adult, £11.50 per child) or join the National Trust

The basics

Meeting point

Find us under the Summer of Play stretch tent in the Kitchen Garden. The walk from the car park and reception is approximately 15-20 minutes.

What to bring and wear

Please wear suitable clothing for the time of year. This is a hands on activity involving soil so please dress appropriately.

Accessibility

This session includes grass and gravel paths, some of which may not be suitable for all mobility aids. If you would like to attend and would like to discuss your access requirements, please call 01202 883402.

Meet the Kingston Lacy lambs 

Spring is in the air, and it is time for little lambs to frolic in the fields. Kingston Lacy’s Portland sheep will be lambing throughout April so join a member of the farm team to learn more about the lambs.
