Whether you want to explore the beach, dunes, woodland or access the water, we have a range of support and facilities to help you enjoy your visit.

Parking

Accessible parking is available in all Studland car parks, with Knoll Beach being the most accessible location for facilities and beach access. At Knoll Beach, there is a level path from the accessible parking area to the café, shop, visitor reception and toilets, approximately 50 metres. A drop off point is also available next to visitor reception at Knoll Beach.

Blue Badge holders can park free of charge. Simply display your badge. During busy periods, car parks can fill quickly and may temporarily close to all visitors when full.

Beach wheelchairs and accessible vehicles

We have a range of all-terrain mobility equipment available to help visitors explore Studland Bay.

Electric all-terrain wheelchair

Our electric 4x4 beach wheelchair is designed to help visitors access sandy and uneven terrain, including selected beach and woodland routes. The wheelchair can also be attendant controlled.

Some routes may be affected by weather conditions including soft sand, mud and seasonal flooding.

Manual all-terrain beach wheelchairs

We also have manual all-terrain beach wheelchairs available at Knoll Beach. These are designed for use on sandy terrain and require assistance from a companion.

Coming soon: Oceanic Aqua chair

The Oceanic Aqua chair is a manually operated amphibious chair offering visitors with mobility needs access to the sea, run by the National Trust and Studland Watersports from Knoll Beach, Studland, between June and September.

Tramper mobility scooter

Visitors wishing to visit Old Harry Rocks can hire a Tramper mobility scooter from South Beach as part of the Countryside Mobility scheme. The Tramper follows a designated route and is not suitable for use on sand.

Use of the Tramper requires Countryside Mobility membership. Membership can be arranged through visitor reception and a small fee applies.

All mobility equipment is free to hire

For information about booking, availability and suitable routes for any of our mobility equipment, please contact visitor reception on 01929 450500. Booking is recommended.
