Nature Day: Wildflower & Wildlife Walk
A summer highlight every year, our wildflowers always steal the show. Share in their wonder and take part in a gentle guided stroll this June for Nature Day.
- Booking advisable
Join us to see this seasonal spectacle, with a colourful display of wildflowers, bulbs and butterflies.
The route will take you through our chalk grassland and down the slopes of our sunken trails as you learn about the wonderful flora and fauna found on our doorstep.
While we can't promise it, you might be lucky enough to spot one of our many varieties of orchid such as the pyramidal, fragrant and common spotted orchid, or the bee orchid - the flower of the county of Bedfordshire.
Adult tickets are £3 or 'pay what you can', children £1.50 or 'pay what you can'. Under 5s go free (no booking required). Normal car parking charges apply.
Please book ahead as there will be limited availability on the day. The route involves some steep slopes. It is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or those with limited mobility.
Afterwards, why not explore our free, one-day Nature Day festival? Details on our What's On page.
