Festival of Archaeology: Celtic Codebreakers
Dig into the past at Dunstable Downs! Join in with the UK's biggest annual celebration of archaeology and unearth the secrets that lie beneath your feet.
- Booking not needed
- Admission applies
On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July, young explorers are invited to become mini archaeologists and crack the code of a mysterious Celtic message that ‘may’ have been left behind by the Iron Age Catuvellauni tribe, who once lived among our rolling hills. Successful codebreakers will earn their very own dig licence.
On Sunday only, join Dr Wendy Morrison, archaeologist for Chilterns National Landscape, for hands-on demonstrations, real and replica artefacts, and expert insights into what you might find beneath you.
10.00am-4.30pm.
£2 per child, no booking required.
