Brambly Hedge at Hidcote

Step into the enchanting world of Brambly Hedge at Hidcote this autumn.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

From September 2026, the garden will be transformed into a charming storybook landscape inspired by Jill Barklem’s beloved tales. Follow Primrose the mouse on an adventure through the gardens as she becomes lost among the hedgerows - and help bring her safely home.

Discover a trail of beautifully crafted miniature mouse homes, hidden doorways, and scenes from the world of Brambly Hedge. Begin your journey inside the Manor House, where you’ll step into a larger-than-life Brambly Hedge interior before venturing out into the gardens to continue the story. Along the way, immersive displays and interactive elements invite you to explore, play, and imagine.

Perfect for families and visitors of all ages, this trail celebrates nature, storytelling, and the changing seasons.

This trail will be running from 26 September to September 2027. To celebrate the different seasons and school holidays, new activities and interactive elements will be added throughout the year, making each visit unique.
