'New Work at Newark Park: A Sculpture Exhibition'

Inspired by the spirit, history and landscape of Newark Park, discover the ‘new work’ of five local sculptors this autumn.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Discover Newark Park from a new perspective in this inspiring sculpture exhibition featuring the work of five local artists. Set across the house and gardens, ‘New Work at Newark Park’ invites visitors on a journey of discovery, where contemporary sculpture uncovers hidden stories, reimagines the past, and celebrates the beauty of the local landscape. Each artist offers a fresh perspective on Newark Park, encouraging visitors to experience familiar spaces in new ways. Through contemporary sculpture, they explore stories inspired by the estate's rich history, landscape and wildlife, bringing to life tales of Cistercian monks, historical courtship, hidden gardens, local flora and fauna, and imagined voices from the past. Many of the artworks incorporate materials sourced directly from the surrounding landscape, including local clay, wood and wool, creating a deeper connection between the sculptures and their setting. Presented in collaboration with local not-for-profit community arts group, the Cotswold Sculptors Association, ‘New Work at Newark Park’ celebrates creativity, place and the enduring power of storytelling.
