Moth Morning
Would you like to learn more about moths and see some of these amazing creatures in the light of day? Take part in a free moth morning at Tinkley Gate as we uncover the traps from the night before.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Come along to the shady barn area at Tinkley Gate for a free, monthly moth morning from 9:30 - 11am, as we open the traps to discover what moths have been flying overnight.
Join our ranger volunteer and moth enthusiast, Andrew, as he uncovers the traps and records the variety of moth species that we have flying at Woodchester Park.
Each month will be different as new species of moth emerge at different times of the year, come to each one to see a whole season of moths as the temperatures change!
We never know quite what we'll find! Everyone is welcome, children as well as grown-ups - all for free! No need to book, just come along between 9:30am and 11am to discover some moths.
In the event of extreme weather, when moths will be unlikely to fly, the event may be cancelled. Check back on this event listing or watch out for a yellow banner on the Woodchester Park homepage where a message will appear if the event has been cancelled.
