Summer of Play - Boggart Stick Workshop
Learn how to make your own clay puppet stick to put on a show! All materials provided.
- Booking essential
This workshop will start with a short forage for materials: A good stick for the body, some leafy hair, acorn eyes... See what you can find for your boggart stick at Tinkley Gate, Woodchester Park!
Sculpt the head from clay, use your foraged materials to create a face and add some character.
Once you've finished crafting the group will take an optional, 10-15 minute walk to the Puppet Theatre and put on a show together!

- Other
The event is at the Tinkley Gate entrance to Woodchester Park. There are two car parks for Woodchester Park. One is called Buckholt and the other is called Tinkley Gate. The brown signs direct you to Buckholt rather than Tinkley Gate. If you have access to google maps, then typing in "Tinkley Gate National Trust Car Park" will take you to the correct entrance. If you follow Tinkley Lane between Nympsfield and Nailsworth, then look out for two colourful banners on the same side of the road that mark the entrance to Tinkley Gate Car Park. 1 booking equals 1 crafter, each crafter can be accompanied by up to 3 others.
