We're now offering dedicated sessions for visitors who are visually impaired,. Supported by trained volunteers who can provide tailored, one to one guidance.

These sessions create a calm and welcoming environment where visitors can explore the Chapel at their own pace with volunteers on hand to offer audio descriptions, gentle orientation support and additional context about Stanley Spencer's work. Our aim is to make every visit meaningful, accessible and enjoyable, ensuring that all members of our community feel confident and valued when visiting Sandham.

- Suitability
Children are welcome with adult supervision.
- Meeting point
A volunteer will meet you as you enter the site and take you to visitor reception and then onto the Chapel.
- Accessibility
We have accessible parking to the rear of the Chapel and flat brick paths to visitor reception. There are a small number of steps into the Chapel and a ramp, suitable for manual wheelchairs, can be provided.

Come and join us for an immersive deep dive into a Stanley Spencer painting, followed by a First World War poetry reading. Each painting talk and poetry reading lasts approximately 15 minutes.
