A unique and exclusive talk and demonstration focusing on the origins of wheat, the importance of milling and, finally, how the mill works.

Come and learn about the ancestry of modern wheat, how it was domesticated by early farmers and why milling is so important. You will also get to see the use of the quern, an ancient device for grinding grain, and even have the opportunity to give querning a go yourself!
This is a free event although we do ask for a suggested donation of £2 per person to help us raise money for the repair of our water wheel.
